Public welcome. Under the Illinois Open Meetings Act (5 ILCS 120), these meetings are open to the public, and members of the public may address the Commission. Under the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5 ILCS 140), you have the right to inspect and copy the public records of the Commission. We respond to written requests within 5 business days (a brief extension is allowed in limited circumstances).

Board Member & Delegate Resources
Open Meetings Act (OMA) training is required of our delegates and alternates — a one-time training completed within 90 days of taking office, conducted by the Illinois Attorney General's Public Access Counselor (PAC). FOIA training is completed annually by the Commission's designated FOIA Officer. Complete the training and find OMA/FOIA guidance at the links below.
