The Veterans Assistance Commission of Macoupin County is committed to making our website and our services usable by everyone we serve, including Veterans and family members with disabilities. We want every person who reaches out to us to be able to get the information and help they need.
Our commitment
We strive to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and to align with Section 508 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to improve.
What we’ve done
This site is built with clear headings and structure, text alternatives for images, keyboard navigation, a “skip to main content” link, readable color contrast, and a responsive layout that works on phones, tablets, and computers.
Accommodations & alternate formats
If you need information in another format — large print, an accessible document, or help completing a form — we will provide it. We can also arrange reasonable accommodations to meet with us or to attend a public Board meeting (please ask in advance so we can prepare). Just call (217) 854-5249 or email macvac@macvac.org.
Nondiscrimination & language access
The VAC serves all eligible Veterans and families without discrimination. If you need help in a language other than English, or interpretation services, let us know and we will arrange assistance.
Tell us about a barrier
If you run into any part of this website or our services that is difficult to use, please tell us — your feedback helps us fix it. Contact us at (217) 854-5249 or macvac@macvac.org and we’ll respond promptly.
We review and improve the accessibility of this site over time. This statement may be updated as we make changes.
